On February 23rd, straight after the morning service, 37 members and friends of the congregation, plus three standing room only, partook of a delicious lunch of home-made lasagne, in the first of Pot Luck Lunch in aid of our Centenary Appeal fund. The lunch, prepared by Alison and Helen Henry was a delicious home-made lasagne, accompanied by a varied selection of salads provided by other members of the church, and a gorgeous array of desserts also from church members and friends. The whole meal was served with great efficiency and plenty of humour – everyone joining in and mixing during the meal. There were new members, long time members and people who just popped in, all enjoying a wonderfully happy atmosphere – made even more jolly by copious servings of wine, generously donated by an anonymous benefactor.
800€ was raised towards the Centenary Fund and Fr Hugh also received a further very generous donation during the day.
A great time was had by all and we are looking forward to the next such lunch. Volunteers warmly welcomed! Thanks again to Alison,Helen,Karen Orsolini and all who contributed on the day.
