Charting the journey of St Paul’s Anglican Church in Monte Carlo is ‘The Centenary Book’ by Dani Carew. Dani served both the Church Council and the wider Anglican Church in Europe over many years. Her work recounts the story of our church from the laying of the first cornerstone and the various complications surrounding that.

‘…and I washed, and now I see.’ John 9:15

For many years, Dani Carew has been passionate about the charitable work of Sightsavers: an organisation with the aim of treating avoidable blindness in children in the developing world. Dani’s well researched work will help fund the work of Sightsavers and the essential work that they undertake with the vulnerable and weak.

‘Lest thou forget what thine eyes have seen’ Deuteronomy 4:9

As Christians we are tellers of the story concerning the Man of Nazareth, Jesus, his teaching and His Glorious Resurrection on Easter Day. We are also called to tell the story of what we have seen of God’s love in our own lives. Dani’s book charts this activity in the life of St Paul’s Anglican Church and the men and women who dedicated their God given talents in the building of St Paul’s that began in 1923.

As we approach the mid-way point in our centenary year, I would commend it to you as a keepsake not only for this special period in the Church’s year but also a way of expressing Christian love in action. Copies are available via the Chaplain or Dani.

Thank you Dani.
