For the second year running Katie Geeling combined her visit to the Riviera with playing the violin on two occasions under the porch at St Paul’s over the Grand Prix weekend. Her repertoire featured a mixture of Italian, French and Irish ballads.
Christian service comes in many different guises, and while we could see that this wonderful music brought a smile to the faces of everyone who passed by, we will never know the full effects of these moments.
Katie was also recorded in church playing a piece for a mutual friend whose wife had died back in England whilst Katie was with us. We know this will have brought great comfort both through the music itself, and the caring intention behind the performance.
