This year’s No Finish Line will take place between 14th and 22nd November. For those who are unfamiliar with the event, it is a 7 day 24 hour walk/run available to all ages (and dogs) featuring a 1km loop around the Chapiteau in Fontveille. Each km loop you complete 1 euro is donated by local businesses to a charity that benefits various local and national and international projects to help disadvantaged children. There are competitions embedded in it – like most laps done by an individual, most laps by a team – and prizes awarded by HSH Prince Albert, who completes the first and last lap usually. You can turn up any time day or night to do a few laps and then go away again and then come back again – all you need to remember to bring is the lanyard they give you with a tracking device on it. No equipment necessary, other than ‘sensible shoes’ as your Mother would say.
Last year, at the last minute, St Paul’s put together a team and did quite well. We are never going to trouble the Carabiniei, SBM or Sapeurs Pompiers Teams too much for the big prizes, but we are hoping this year to double our achievements and put up a good showing.
You can register to run/ walk/ amble along gracefully in our Team in one of two ways. The simplest is to register yourself individually by following this link. On the page that shows NOM DE L’EQUIPE, simply type “ST” and you will see ST PAUL ANGLICAN CHURCH (or St PAUL’S. – either will do) and choose us as your team from the drop down menu. You will be asked to pay €16 to enter and an additional and refundable €10 for the tracking device, that you hand back in at the end of your walk.
Alternatively you can register in our Team via this link, and the Association will pay the fees initially and put you in our Team automatically. You can then pay the Church back the monies via Carlo QR code or to Peter Coleridge when you see him. As long as you hand back the tracking device at the end of the week the €10 will be refunded to you.
