The Healing Ministry
Wednesday Evenings at 6:30 p.m. :
Holy Communion with Healing and Prayer
Our Lord Jesus Christ went about preaching the gospel and healing. He commanded his disciples to lay hands on the sick that they might be healed. Following his example, and in obedience to his command, we lay hands on the sick, praying that the Lord will grant healing and peace according to his loving and gracious will.
Saint James writes, ‘Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins he will be forgiven.’ In fulfilment of this we anoint the sick with oil, praying that the Lord will grant healing and restoration and forgiveness according to his loving and gracious will.
